Polyphase motors can be either two-phase or 3-stage motors. They operate like one-period induction motors, but equally single-phase and polyphase motors operate on a rotating magnetic discipline. Their rotating magnetic fields are created by two- or a few-phase currents passing by way of two or much more sets of coils. The rotating magnetic subject makes torque. Polyphase motors are used in applications that demand large energy, such as the power push of compressors, hydraulic pumps, air conditioning compressors, and irrigation pumps.
